Buy the Beret sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Quick and easy to sew, the Beret is a great scrap-busting project. Choose between two styles: Version 1 features a narrow band, while Version 2 is finished neatly with bias binding on the inside. Both versions are lined for comfort, warmth, and the chance to use up a beautiful fabric scrap.

Suggested fabrics:Â This pattern works in a range of different fabrics. Use a cotton twill or denim for something more structured. A jumbo corduroy, cotton poplin, or melton wool will be a little softer, or try a needlecord for a super soft beret. For the lining, the designer recommends something lighter, such as a viscose or cotton lawn.

Main: 1.15 m (45") or 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 0.5 m (5/8 yd).
Lining: 1.15 m (45") or 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 0.45 m (1/2 yd).
